Design Manager (Furniture & Patio)

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide clear item directives to the merchant team for assigned product responsibilities
• Partner with Brand Concept Team to understand and execute Concept vision, including color, silhouette, materiality, print & pattern each season
• Communicate with and leverage external design resources and contractors
• Identify product opportunities informed by Concept Team, trade shows, market research and consumer insight
• Manage assigned category calendar and timeline deliverables
• Partner with Sourcing and Merchant team to execute assigned category development
• Partner with At Home product partners to influence and leverage their design capabilities, and ensure directives are interpreted and executed appropriately

Qualifications & Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of relevant Product Design or Product Development experience
• Furntiture & Patio design/development experience required
• Expert with MS Office products
• Adobe Creative Suite proficiency (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Excellent eye for color, pattern, design details and craftsmanship
• Presentation skills – including verbal, written and creative visuals
• Able to develop/maintain strong working relationship with peers and cross-functional teams
• Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
• Able to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
