Design Intern

OnePay is the consumer fintech trusted by millions of Americans to make money better. We’re an all‑in‑one financial services platform that brings together banking, high‑yield savings, credit cards, point‑of‑sale lending, investing, and crypto in one place. We also partner with employers, HCM providers, gig platforms, and others to deliver embedded financial services to millions of employees and frontline workers. Backed by Walmart and Ribbit Capital, we’re moving fast to build something truly category‑defining.

Responsibilities

• Support product discovery, competitive analysis, interaction design, prototyping, and design systems work across active initiatives.
• Work alongside Design team members and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Analytics partners.
• Participate in design reviews, critiques, product discovery, and competitive analysis.
• Contribute to the design system while working on real product surfaces from concept through execution.
• Attend workshops on technical skills, resume building, interview prep, and professional development.
• Engage with company leadership during networking events.
• Receive guidance and feedback from a manager and a dedicated mentor.

Requirements

• Currently a Bachelor’s student expected to graduate in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028, majoring in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, Visual Design, or a related field.
• Completed at least one previous internship, or have a portfolio of substantial personal or academic design projects you’re ready to discuss.
• Available for a full‑time, 8‑week program running June 21 – August 13, 2027, with at least 3‑4 days per week in the New York City office.
• Proactive, collaborative attitude with an “act‑like‑an‑owner” mentality; thrives in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills; able to communicate ideas clearly.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excited to learn and grow in a rapidly growing organization.
• Work authorization: OnePay will not sponsor applicants who need employment‑sponsored visas for this position; future sponsorship will not be considered.

Schedule

• Program runs June 21 – August 13, 2027 (8 weeks, full‑time) in the NYC office.
• Required availability: work in the NYC office at least 3‑4 days per week for the entire program.
• Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; offer decisions are made after the application window closes, with a target finalized cohort by December 1, 2026. If spots remain, applications may reopen in Spring 2027.
