Design & Engineering Manager

About the Role

Responsible for managing a team of Engineering & Design employees to ensure that cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. This role provides technical direction, oversees resource management, tracks project progress, and supports product development from proposal to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to Engineering & Design teams.
• Oversee resources budgeting, allocation, review, and approval.
• Track projects and progress through regular reviews.
• Develop dashboards and reports to measure progress, identify technical problems, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in tool design and feasibility technical reviews.
• Aid and guide in the development of product designs from proposal to delivery.
• Provide technical support to customers and the Sales team.
• Implement HR strategies to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
• Provide technical direction through mold debug.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
• 9 years of engineering experience, including supervision.
• Expert functional, technical, and people/process management skills.
• Strong customer relationship skills (both external and internal).
• Detailed expertise in complex functional/technical areas or broad knowledge in multiple areas.
• Solid knowledge of injection molding.
• Demonstrated ability to develop talent as part of operational business plans.
• Provides strategic leadership for the function and the site.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Master’s Degree or MBA.
