Design Engineer, Transmission, using MASTA & Catia

Condesign is seeking a skilled Design Engineer with documented experience using Masta and Catia to join our team as a consultant in Gothenburg. The ideal candidate is a team player who communicates effectively, enjoys collaboration, takes ownership of deliveries, and strives to help the organization deliver excellent products and services.

About the role

This role is with our client in the Automotive industry, where you will design and analyze hybrid and EDU transmission systems using MASTA and CATIA. Experience from the marine industry is meritorious.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze hybrid and EDU transmission systems using MASTA and CATIA, including gear and transmission simulations to evaluate durability, NVH, and efficiency.
• Define and document system and component requirements, supporting testing, troubleshooting, and implementing design changes based on results and feedback.
• Lead supplier and customer meetings to align on technical requirements, project goals, and ensure seamless integration with manufacturing and other stakeholders.
• Conduct and lead FMEA sessions with senior designer support, identifying and mitigating design risks.
• Track project development, create time plans, and ensure on-time delivery, meeting quality and cost targets.
• Provide technical updates, report progress and challenges, and contribute to design reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of automotive development experience.
• Experience with Transmission and SW MASTA.
• Knowledge of product development process, requirement specification, and product documentation is advantageous.
• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering field.
• Fluent in English; a valid driver’s license is a plus.
