Design Engineer, Mechanical Thermal

About the role

Design thermal and ventilation systems in AC/DC Power Modules and Data Centers for IT, Telecom, and Industrial applications. Support all engineering inquiries related to thermal and ventilation systems and work directly with the module integration facility to develop drawing packages for the integration of all mechanical systems and layout drawings for equipment into the module and power distribution. Coordinate with facility structural design and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design thermal and ventilation systems for AC/DC power modules and data centers across IT, telecom, and industrial sectors
• Support engineering inquiries related to thermal and ventilation systems
• Develop drawing packages for mechanical system integration and equipment layout drawings for modules and power distribution
• Coordinate with facility structural design and electrical systems teams
• Perform conceptual and detailed design of all thermal and ventilation systems including HVAC design, cable management systems, fire suppression layouts, and equipment layouts
• Review and approve mechanical product submittals
• Conduct CFD analysis
• Interpret construction drawings and equipment specifications
• Research designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Thermal Engineering
• Relevant experience in thermal and ventilation system design
• Experience with HVAC design, mechanical layouts, and equipment integration
• Proficiency with AutoDesk/AutoCAD
• Experience interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications
• Microsoft Office proficiency
