About the Role

Provide all design engineering drawings and documents related to customer orders, support manufacturing efforts, and provide customer support for all products of the Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD). This position is based in Freedom, PA.

Responsibilities

  • Support product engineering activities for data center and IT cooling products.
  • Prepare technical documents (e.g., drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Instruction Books (IBs)) to support order placements, manufacturing/assembly operations, and customer needs.
  • Review and analyze test data to establish performance standards and confirm designs meet functional and performance specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for the development and review of customer proposals.
  • Assist in the development and operation of cooling products test labs.
  • Resolve customer technical questions as required.
  • Develop and design concepts and collaborate with other Engineering personnel to complete designs.
  • Assist Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Quality Assurance with production problems.
  • Recommend and implement design improvements and cost reductions.
  • Act as project leader for all design, test, and prototype programs as assigned.
  • Work with vendors to resolve technical design issues.
  • Coordinate with certification agencies (e.g., UL, Intertek) to obtain and maintain product compliance certifications.
  • Travel to customer sites, vendor locations, and/or trade shows to provide product support as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 3-5 years of experience with cooling systems, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of cooling equipment applications in data centers and commercial settings.
  • Advanced knowledge of ASHRAE and other cooling standards and their applicability to products and applications.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to interact with customers, employees, and vendors.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and create technical drawings and materials.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, Computational Fluid Dynamics software, CAD, and engineering analysis software.
