Design Engineer I

About the role

As a Design Engineer II, you'll play a key role in the design and development of custom vibratory equipment from concept to manufacturing. This role offers hands-on involvement in design analysis, testing, prototyping, and cross-team collaboration, providing comprehensive engineering engagement throughout the product lifecycle with a direct impact on the aggregate industry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, design, and detail custom vibratory equipment for the aggregate market
• Perform testing and prototyping of new products
• Assist production and field teams in troubleshooting equipment issues
• Perform design analysis for components
• Create detail drawings and complete bills of material
• Evaluate and implement design changes
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related field
• Thorough understanding of drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances
• Knowledge of mechanical power relationships such as horsepower, torque, speed, and ratios
• Experience with shaft, bearing, and power transmission design and analysis
• Understanding of strengths of materials and structural analysis
• Familiarity with motion and dynamics principles such as g-force and natural frequency
• Training and/or experience in using SolidWorks, AutoDesk Inventor, or similar 3D CAD software
• Training and/or experience in FEA simulation and interpretation
• Strong mechanical aptitude
