About the role
SAIC is seeking a Design Engineer Associate in Crane, IN.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of test routines for the AN/USM-676 Pinpoint IIR and AN/USM-726(V) Huntron Tracker Model 32.
- Use schematics, diagrams, and layouts to assist technicians in troubleshooting failed circuit card assemblies (CCA) to a component level.
- Design test fixtures to support the troubleshooting process.
- Communicate regularly with technicians and other engineers regarding requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, and system & operational performance analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required. Additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- Ability to diagnose and maintain both the Pinpoint and Huntron Systems.
- Ability to work with little supervision on assigned tasking.
- Ability to effectively communicate with engineers and technicians.
- Ability to work in a lab environment for entire shift.
Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. Can start once interim clearance is granted. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
