About the role
The Design Coordinator plays a crucial role in the Airport Improvement Request (AIR) submittal process at Nashville International Airport (BNA). This position assists the Project Manager (PM) and Construction Manager (CM) in maintaining project files and coordinating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Aids the PM/CM in managing project files for all required administrative items.
- Coordinates with designers, contractors, and other stakeholders to schedule meetings, develop agendas, and follow up on action items.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for tenants and the AIR review process.
- Tracks and distributes all AIR submittals and maintains an AIR Database.
- Maintains updates to the AIR manual and design and construction guidelines.
- Performs preliminary reviews of projects, ensuring adherence to AIR design and construction guidelines.
- Provides information and responses to inquiries from contractors, tenants, MNAA departments, consultants, and other regulatory agencies.
- Supports MNAA's commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence (RISE).
- Maintains regular and on-time attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2 to 5 years engineering, architectural, construction, or project controls experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction technology/management or Master's level degree.
- 5 years of engineering, architectural, or construction experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
