Responsibilities

• Build meaningful, long-term customer relationships through interior design consultations and makeovers.
• Use “relationship selling” techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of furniture construction and design trends.
• Engage customers to determine their needs based on taste, lifestyle, and budget.
• Create, present, and sell product and design solutions.
• Conduct in-home or business makeovers at customers’ residences.
• Host virtual appointments and live chats.
• Translate customer preferences into cohesive design choices.

Requirements

• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Desire to work in a commissioned sales environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Capability to travel to customers’ residences and businesses for makeovers.
• Computer proficiency for virtual appointments and design tools.

Pay

This role features a generous commission-based compensation plan with additional bonus opportunities. Average earnings for experienced Design Consultants range from $70,000 to $105,000 per year, with top performers earning up to $135,000 annually.
