Design/Construction Project Manager IV - Vallejo CA
In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this senior individual contributor position oversees all phases of the design and/or construction process for moderately complex projects or a series of projects, typically ranging from $50-100 million in cumulative budget responsibility. The role involves defining project parameters such as time, money, physical objectives, and external constraints; managing project teams comprised of facility personnel, project staff, general contractors, and internal/external consultants; and leading the establishment of scope, budget, and schedule while maintaining commitments through design, construction, and close-out. The position ensures Kaiser Permanente’s client service goals are met and provides guidance during all design stages of medical and/or regional facilities, including economic comparisons of development schemes and recommending options aligned with the master plan. Additional responsibilities include negotiating fees, reviewing and approving consultant and contractor invoices and change orders, managing permit procurement, supervising on-site teams, and communicating project status with leadership.

- Reviews vendor performance and ensures service level agreements are met; partners with Procurement and/or Legal to develop agreements.
- Assists with contract negotiations and reviews project invoices for accuracy.
Requirements
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in construction and/or design project management.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and minimum five (5) years of experience in project management or a directly related field OR minimum eight (8) years of experience in project management or a directly related field.

Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of experience working with performance management.
- Three (3) years of experience working with pharmacy and benefits operations.
Schedule
- Full-time

Pay
Pay range: $139,600 – $180,620 per year. The posted range reflects possible base salaries and does not include the full value of Kaiser Permanente’s total rewards package. Actual base pay will be determined at offer based on labor market data, internal alignment, and a candidate’s relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
Primary location: Vallejo Hospital Tower, Vallejo, California.
