About the role

The Boeing Company is currently seeking an F-15 Mission Systems Communications and Datalink Integration Engineer to join the F-15 Mission Systems Team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

Responsibilities

  • Works with internal stakeholders and external customers to coordinate execution of ongoing hardware-software integration efforts in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Works with USAF customers and aircrew to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for avionics systems
  • Receives customer requests and analyzes them with consideration for contractual and technical impacts and translates into actionable system requirements
  • Participates and coordinates lab tests to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
  • Supports flight test events with data review and problem fixes
  • Supports resolution of product integration issues with production ramp and fielded hardware systems
  • Responsible for communication across teams as well as multiple engineering disciplines and program leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry preferred
  • Experience with electronic system design, code and test preferred
  • Experience in developing or integrating Mission Systems for military aircraft preferred
  • Experience with MIL-STD-6016 and Link-16 implementation preferred
  • Experience with Mission Planning requirements preferred
  • Experience with radio waveforms and communications systems preferred
  • Experience with DOORS (or other requirements management tools) preferred
  • Experience with ClearQuest preferred
  • Experience navigating Interface Control Documents (ICD’s) preferred
  • Experience designing requirements with customers and documenting them preferred
  • Experience with data analysis of system data preferred
  • Experience working on an agile team and using Jira preferred
  • Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills preferred
