About the role

We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer to work on the development, maintenance, and evolution of web applications and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and APIs in Rails.
• Maintain and evolve legacy Ruby systems.
• Write automated tests and ensure code quality.
• Optimize performance of queries and applications.
• Analyze problems, fix bugs, and continuously improve systems.
• Collaborate with the technical team on code reviews, architectural decisions, and development best practices.

Requirements

• Experience in developing scalable web applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Knowledge of Ruby 3.x and Ruby on Rails 6.x or 7.x.
• Experience with MVC patterns and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Knowledge of Active Record, migrations, and query optimization.
• Experience with automated testing and code quality best practices.
• Ability to maintain and evolve legacy Ruby systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rails application performance in production.
• Knowledge of Git, code review, and continuous integration.
• Experience with Docker, cloud, or deployment environments, if applicable.
• Experience working in agile teams and collaborating with product areas.
