Des Moines - Part Time Janitor

About The Role

Under the direction of the Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing janitorial duties for office or medical buildings and related areas. Quality customer service must be provided to the client at all times. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.

Schedule

Part Time Schedule: Varies by assigned location
Less than 29 hours per week.

What You'll Do

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
• Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms.
• Cleaning sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restocking supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Emptying all trash cans and replacing liners, cleaning receptacles as necessary.
• Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
• Cleaning windowsills and windows.
• Maintaining janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Maintaining janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
• Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
• Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work within the United States.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.

Working Environment and Physical Demands

• The work is performed in a variety of different office or medical locations with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
• The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing up to fifty pounds.

• This job description is not an employment agreement or contract. Management has the exclusive right to alter the scope of work within the framework of this job description at any time without prior notice.
• The work requires driving to multiple buildings each night to assist with openings and training new employees.
• Direct Deposit Pay every other Friday.

• Paid Holidays after 90 days for full-time employees working 30+ hours per week.
• PTO accumulation for full time employees working 30+ hours per week.

Pay Range

The Pay Range For This Role Is 12.50 - 15 USD per hour(Thornton)
