You will apply medical techniques and principles under the direction of a physician and you will deal with a diverse set of patients offering them care and encouragement. Responsibilities include Take medical historiesPerform physical exams, including skin cancer screening examsDiagnose and treat skin conditions, such as acne, eczema, and rosaceaOrder and interpret testsPerform biopsies, wide excisions, and cryotherapyDevelop treatment plansPrescribe medicationProvide information about preventive carePerform certain minimally and non-invasive cosmetic procedures, such as Botox injections, laser skin resurfacing, and mild or moderate chemical peelsAssist in surgeries, such as Mohs surgery Job Requirements Master’s Degree requiredActive New York license as a Physician Assistant and at least 6 months of working experience as a PA in Dermatology Currently New York Controlled Substance and Drug Enforcement RegistrationMaster's degreeGraduate of an approved PA Program and a post-graduate training program in surgery or at least one-year equivalent work experienceCurrent Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)Emergency Medicine / Family Practice/Acute CareDOT, BLS, ACLS PreferredBilingual a plus - SpanishProven work experience as a physician assistant or nurseKnowledge of EMR Systems preferredJ1 Waiver and CONRAD 30 Waiver Candidates Welcome Salary $135,000-$150,000 Salary may include bonses & incentives Essen Health care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we seek candidates who desire to work in and serve an ethnically diverse population.
