Vernon Health, an independent, non-profit healthcare provider serving the Driftless Region since 1951, is hiring a compassionate and skilled Dermatologist in Viroqua, Wisconsin. As a Critical Access Hospital with a network of Rural Health Clinics and specialty services, Vernon Health offers an opportunity to practice patient-centered dermatology in a supportive rural healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of dermatologic conditions, including skin disorders, rashes, acne, eczema, psoriasis, lesions, and other skin health concerns.
- Perform dermatology evaluations, skin exams, biopsies, minor dermatologic procedures, and appropriate diagnostic testing to determine the best course of care.
- Provide dermatology consultation for patients as needed, including referrals and coordination with specialty services when appropriate.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, nursing services, and specialty care teams to support comprehensive dermatologic care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with Vernon Health standards.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution and completion of an accredited Dermatology residency program.
- Board certification or eligibility in Dermatology.
- Valid Wisconsin medical license (or ability to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
