Derivatives Sales Trader | Experienced Hire
About the role
Susquehanna Financial Group, LLLP (SFG) integrates expertise in trading, research, and sales to provide value to our client base of mutual funds, hedge funds, and pension/endowment funds. As a member of our Derivatives Sales Trading team, you will engage directly with clients, execute order flow, and provide market-driven insights. This role involves close collaboration with our derivatives trading, strategy, market intelligence, and equity research teams.
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with clients to execute order flow and provide market-driven insights
- Collaborate with derivatives trading, strategy, market intelligence, and equity research teams
- Evaluate market trends, interpret options flows and positioning, and assess strategy feasibility
- Analyze volatility surfaces, skew, term structures, and other critical options metrics to inform trading decisions
- Build and foster strong, collaborative relationships with institutional clients and internal counterparts
- Evaluate and interpret market data to make strategic decisions
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Take initiative and continuously learn new skills
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required
- 2 to 5 years of experience in sales trading, ideally with a focus on derivatives
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical abilities
- Deep understanding of options pricing, volatility modeling, and derivatives markets
- Expertise in examining volatility surfaces, skew, term structures, and other critical options metrics to inform trading decisions
- Experience with Python, SQL, or VBA preferred

Pay
The annual base pay range for this role is $175,000 - $225,000 + discretionary bonus + benefits. Susquehanna considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, work experience, education/training, key skills, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
