About the role

The Derivative Operations Manager oversees the post-trade workflow of OTC and ETD products including pricing and collateral management. They manage the oversight of State Street Alpha (outsourced provider) for all derivatives and collateral activities, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the team managing OTC and ETD trade booking and life-cycle management
  • Manage daily reconciliations of cash and positions related to derivatives activity
  • Ensure daily collateral and margin moves for bilateral OTC, cleared OTC and ETD
  • Review end-of-day blotters and client reports
  • Provide sign-off for appropriate controls
  • Ensure compliance with GIPS standards, SOC1, and internal audit and regulatory requirements
  • Strive for excellence in people management, leading by example
  • Implement change in the team, challenge assumptions, and generate imaginative ideas for improvements
  • Cross-train with global partners to enhance capabilities and coverage
  • Leverage technology to automate manual processes

Requirements

  • Proven experience in derivative operations (10+ years)
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team
  • Charles River CRIMS experience
  • Understanding of equities, ETFs, and FX
  • Technical knowledge of derivative products including IRS, CDS, options, futures, TRS, and FX Forwards
  • High aptitude for collateral management principles, ETD, and Cleared/OUTC
  • Knowledge of pricing techniques for OTCs (including IRS, CDS, Options, TRS)
  • Experience using vendor platforms such as Markitwire, DTCC, and Icelink
  • Familiarity with ISDA definitions
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of SQL and Power Automate is a plus

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • CPA or CFA designation preferred

Pay

$130,000 - $150,000 yearly
