An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Deputy Service Lead in our Cervical Screening Department in Central London.
Our laboratory is based in The Halo Building, located close to St Pancras and Euston mainline stations.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking professional to support the current management team during a period of exciting and dynamic changes within the service.
Responsibilities
Support the Service Lead in delivering a high quality service, meeting contractual performance indicators and managing staff and facilities in line with HSL policies and procedures.
Manage staff and workflow within the Cervical Screening Department as directed by the Service Lead, working in collaboration with the other senior scientific staff in providing an efficient and effective service within the resources available and to ensure the maintenance of scientific standards of HSL.
Support the Quality Manager in the administration, monitoring and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) throughout Cervical Screening Department (CSL) and expected to represent the department and business at internal and external meetings with a variety of key stakeholders.
Communicate in appropriate formats with a variety of stakeholders is essential.
Work autonomously to build internal and external relationships as required and motivate and inspire others to perform at their highest level.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a relevant degree in a related field and ideally have experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting. Proven leadership and management skills are essential, along with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
