GDIT is seeking a Deputy Project/Task Senior Manager to assist the Project Manager with a complex program driving impactful mission outcomes for our customer. This role offers the opportunity to see the bigger picture on mission initiatives and grow your program management career.
Responsibilities
- Create weekly status reports including:
- Detailed technical report
- Summarized version for the client’s Chief Information Officer
- Statused project schedule
- Project schedule summary
- Create monthly status reports including:
- JIRA reports
- Spend plan
- Earned Value Management Report
- Quality Report
- Assist with creating, maintaining, and statusing several schedules.
- Create Monthly Performance Reports.
- Create and present monthly PowerPoint presentations to client’s COR, Chief Information Officer, and other Government stakeholders (if PM is unavailable).
- Assist with creating quarterly Integrated Baseline Review slide deck.
- Create Sprint deliverables, ensuring timely delivery and proper check-in to source control.
- Push appropriate resources to create/update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed; write SOPs when necessary.
- Assist with creating and peer-reviewing multiple deliverables to meet contract quality standards.
- Create Statements of Work for subcontractors and job requisitions as needed.
- Handle on-boarding and off-boarding activities, including ensuring proper signing and submission of laptop forms to GDIT property group.
- Learn SETRIS and handle SETRIS issues for subcontractors; contact submitters and approvers to ensure timely timesheet transmission.
- Serve as backup for PM for timesheet approvals.
- Ensure proper email notifications are sent before upgrades or patches to environments (backups, user notifications for Production, monitoring script turn-off).
- Track environment versions (Tomcat, Apache HTTPD, Java, Oracle, Sprint, etc.).
- Create/update Confluence pages as needed; capture daily status in Confluence Daily Scrum page.
- Perform Scrum Master duties such as creating, statusing, closing, and updating JIRA tickets.
- Proactively follow up on tasks to ensure completion.
- Participate in planning and budgeting exercises.
- Build and maintain relationships with client, customer staff, and end users.
- Assist the team and client with decisions based on long-term and short-term engagement aspects.
- Monitor progress to ensure deadlines and standards are met.
- Contribute to modernization and migration to Azure cloud activities.
- Support the Project Manager with business development activities to expand technology solutions for Department of Commerce clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
- 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years of intensive and progressive experience demonstrating required proficiency levels.
- Excellent writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated client-facing roles.
- Proven track record of leading complex systems implementation or integration efforts.
- Experience working for a senior leadership client, participating in briefings, presentations, and advisory sessions.
- Experience with business process management (BPM) products and Azure cloud SaaS-based implementations.
- Some knowledge of radio transmitters and receivers, radar, antennas, and satellites (radio spectrum).
- Experience managing relationships and dependencies with external teams.
- Experience working in an Agile framework.
- Experience with JIRA and JIRA reports.
- Experience with Confluence.
- Experience writing technical documentation.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Must have a Secret Clearance to start.

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $123,250 - $166,750. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.
