Deputy Probation Officer II – Lateral

Responsibilities

• Plans and monitors supervision programs to enable positive behavior change
• Investigates and evaluates cases of adults and juveniles
• Maintains records and prepares reports for court dispositions of adult or probation youth cases
• Instructs probationers regarding the terms and conditions of their probationary period

Requirements

• Candidates must currently hold a position equivalent to Deputy Probation Officer II in California (outside of LA County) for at least one year
• Completion of Probation Officer Core (POC) training and PC 832 or completion of Juvenile Corrections Officer Core (JCOC) training and PC 832
• No felony convictions
• Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law

Pay

$77,370 – $110,770 Annually

Schedule

New hires must spend one year in juvenile halls to learn LACP practices.
