Maxi Zoo is part of the Fressnapf Group, the European market leader in pet products with 2,600 shops across Europe. Maxi Zoo is Ireland’s largest pet retailer, operating over 30 stores. We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager for our Limerick store.

Requirements

• Experienced retail professional with a proven track record in deputy management roles
• Ability to step up and lead with warmth and empathy, ensuring smooth operations in the manager’s absence
• Hunger for growth, eagerness to learn and eventually lead as a future store manager
• Passion for customer service and strong organisational skills to ensure exceptional customer experiences
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to company values

Responsibilities

• Operational Store Excellence – ensure adherence to store processes, regulations, and KPIs while supporting the Store Manager in analysing and improving results
• Customer Engagement – ensure the team enriches customers’ experiences with personalised advice and maintains a welcoming, tidy store atmosphere
• Leadership – empower team growth and engagement through supportive leadership, training, and a culture of trust and respect
• Merchandising and Inventory – maintain impeccably stocked shelves, use correct planograms, and ensure accurate inventory management
• Brand Integrity – ensure animals entrusted to us are well cared for at all times, with animal welfare as a priority; advocate responsible pet ownership
