Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes and directs the work of assigned organization elements (divisions, other units) of the Department of General Services.
  • Congnates with, consults and directs the heads of those organizational elements to promote maximum efficiency.
  • Develops policies and practices that improve operations of assigned divisions and units.
  • Confers with the director, division chiefs, and administrative staff regarding policies, procedures, personnel and staff development, fiscal and administrative matters.
  • Formulates and implements rates and financing methodologies.
  • Aids in the preparation and administration of the departmental budget with specific responsibility for the budget of assigned organizational elements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years as a division chief in the Department of General Services.
  • Four years of administrative or management experience including responsibility for planning, organizing and directing varied types of programs.
  • At least two years of the required experience must have involved budgeting and rate setting activities associated with a Proprietary Fund, such as an inter-services fund or an enterprise fund.
