Deputy Cost Manager
About the role
Assist in conducting quantity take-offs and preparing Bills of Quantities by reviewing drawings and specification sheets.
Support in preparing and presenting order of cost estimates and developing cost plans.
Help in evaluating construction works and producing interim and final payment recommendations.
Assist in assessing and valuing changes and variations.
Ensure all costs and quantity records are organized and maintained.
Contribute to delivering high-quality services and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet customer requirements in accordance with business procedures.
Assist in assembling and contract documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities
- Prepare and present order of cost estimates
- Develop cost plans
- Evaluate construction works and produce payment recommendations
- Assess and value changes and variations
- Organize and maintain costs and quantity records
- Deliver high-quality services meeting customer requirements
- Aid in assembling and contract documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or any related field
- 2-5 years of experience in quantity surveying and construction methods and materials
Qualifications
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and logical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and cost planning techniques
