About the role

The Monroe County Public Defender's Office seeks an experienced and committed attorney with a passion for serving the public interest. As Deputy Chief Public Defender, you will report to the Chief Public Defender and represent indigent criminal clients in District Justice Court, Court of Common Pleas, state Superior and Supreme Courts, and Juvenile Court within Pennsylvania. You will also make management decisions when the Chief Public Defender is unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Represent indigent criminal clients as legal counsel in various courts, including District Justice Court, Court of Common Pleas, Superior Court, Supreme Court, and Juvenile Court
• Make management decisions in the absence of the Chief Public Defender
