About the role
The Deputy Chief Operating Officer (DCOO) serves as a strategic support partner to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), focusing on strengthening execution, coordination, and follow-through across key operational priorities.
Responsibilities
- Organize decision support materials and track commitments to maintain visibility into project status, risks, and dependencies.
- Facilitate communication across executive leaders and operational teams to align priorities and ensure they are on schedule.
- Manage cross-functional initiatives such as process improvements, space planning, branch expansion, mergers, and enterprise projects.
- Support regulatory readiness by coordinating exam preparation, audit follow-ups, and documentation across internal stakeholders and external regulators.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Management, or a related field is required, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 8–12 years of progressive experience in financial services, banking, credit unions, operations, project management, or similar leadership support roles.
- Strong experience coordinating across multiple operational functions, including lending, servicing, branch operations, facilities, information technology, project management, and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
