Main Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and submit applications required to obtain and maintain pharmacy licenses, permits, and registrations.
- Cook up and manage DEA registrations to ensure pharmacies are authorized to possess and dispense controlled substances.
- Submit required notices and regulatory filings to maintain compliance and avoid sanctions or disruptions to pharmacy operations.
- Support regulatory inspections, audits, and accreditation activities by ensuring appropriate licensure documentation is readily available.
Records Management and Tracking
- Develop, maintain, and oversee a centralized repository for pharmacy licenses, permits, and registrations.
- Establish and manage tracking systems for license renewals, certifications, and compliance deadlines.
- Monitor and implement CMEA certification and renewal reminder processes.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with pharmacy compliance team members and other business partners to support licensing and regulatory initiatives.
- Cook up and coordinate licensing requirements for new pharmacy openings, ensuring all licenses, permits, and compliance-related supplies are in place prior to opening.
- Prepare and coordinate Powers of Attorney and Principal Coordinator credentials required by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for controlled substance ordering.
Financial and Administrative Support
- Prepare and process check requests and obtain necessary approvals for licensing, permitting, registration fees, and related expenses.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Physical Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk or computer workstation are required.
- Regular use of computers, calculators, telephones, and other standard office equipment.
- Occasional stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required to perform job duties.
