Deployments Lead (Supply Chain AI)

About the role

This is a 0-to-1 role: you will be the company’s first Deployments Lead. You own the full pre-sales and post-sales deployment motion, work side-by-side with the CEO and CTO, and have direct influence on the product roadmap. Real equity upside.

Responsibilities

• Own the full deployment lifecycle — discovery, scoping, pilot, go-live, and expansion.
• Build the deployment function from scratch: methodology, playbooks, templates.
• Run pre-sales on your own — custom demos, customer data integration, pilot scoping (no dedicated SE team).
• Drive account expansion after launch — find high-ROI upsells.
• Be a thought partner to the founders, translating supply-chain workflows into engineering priorities.
• Convert pilots into production within the first 6 months.

Requirements

• 10–20 years in supply-chain or procurement software deployments (Palantir, SAP, Blue Yonder, o9, Kinaxis, Celonis, Coupa, Anaplan, SAP Ariba/IBP) OR top consulting (MBB / Tier 2) with a deep supply-chain or manufacturing practice — as a senior individual contributor.
• Deep knowledge of procurement (S2P, sourcing, spend) and/or planning (S&OP/IBP, demand/supply, inventory) — able to work at the data layer.
• I’ve owned the full pre-sales cycle independently: discovery, demos, customer data integration, pilot scoping.
• I’ve built deployment methodology, playbooks, or templates from scratch.
• I’ve deployed into large enterprise manufacturers (F500-caliber) — not only mid-market/SMB.
• I’ve expanded an account’s scope after launch.
• Executive presence — trusted by C-suite and VP-level stakeholders.
• Enough technical fluency to work with engineers.
• I can work on-site 5 days/week in San Francisco (or I’m willing to relocate).
