Deployment Trainer - DEAMS

Duties and responsibilities

• Support travel for deployment training activities to CONUS and OCONUS customer sites (25-50% of schedule is spent traveling)
• Serve as a representative for DEAMS Functional Management Office (FMO) to deploying bases
• Conduct briefings on DEAMS and planned deployment activities
• Aid in base Site Profile distribution and collection of end user and financial data; analyze the data, organize, and participate in site visits
• Aid in the registration process for DEAMS and assist in identifying required training for users
• Coordinate training activities with DEAMS Formal Training and assigned bases
• Manage comprehensive checklist of deployment and cutover tasks
• Provide targeted assistance to users based on DEAMS metrics, recurring critical task results, and results of other data analysis
• Provide ad hoc and on-the-job training to DEAMS users via telephone, video-teleconference, webinar, or on-site visit (when local)
• Facilitate user set-up and assignment of system
• Facilitate and promote Strategic Communications and Change Management activities
• Assist with DEAMS Discoveries and Lessons Learned activities at the deployed base
• Deployment SMEs will assist MCSMEs and other DEAMS functional business areas as required
• Provide support to the DEAMS Help Desk including surge and end of year processes

Qualifications required

• U.S. citizenship; no dual citizenship
• Current Secret clearance
• Bachelor's Degree
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience working with Air Force Financial Management systems including:
• 2+ years of overall experience MUST include direct functional and technical expertise using DEAMS
• Experience in AF Funds Control Accounting and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS)
• Experience with Financial Analysis
• Experience with Accounts Payable
• Ability to analyze financial data using Microsoft Office products, Proficiency with Excel and Access including creating and using PivotTables and complex functions
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to exceed in a blended government and contractor team environment
• Availability to travel 25-50% supporting DEAMS deployment and sustainment activities for MAJCOMs

• Hands-on experience working with other AF Financial Management authoritative data sources such as:
• Job Order Cost Accounting System II (JOCAS II)
• G-Invoicing
• General Accounting and Finance System (GAFS)
• Automated Funds Management (AFM)
• Defense Travel System (DTS)
• Government Purchase Card (GPC)
• Automated Budget Interactive Data Management System (ABIDES)
• Financial Management Data Quality Service (FMDQS)
