About the role

At its core, the Deployment Strategist role centers around leveraging data in operational and real‑world action. Customers come with a hunch that better use of data is needed to protect troops, manufacture high‑quality products, structure healthcare policies, or deliver aid to refugees safely. Deployment Strategists turn that hunch into reality by synthesizing disconnected streams of thought into a cohesive understanding of the most important problem, what the data means, what the product needs, user motivations, and potential impact.

Responsibilities

  • Go onsite and meet with customer analysts to understand critical questions and locate pain points.
  • Identify relevant datasets through deep engagement with customer problems and workflows, and work with Forward Deployed Engineers to integrate data into a stable, extensible pipeline.
  • Work with the customer to build bespoke workflows for new user groups.
  • Lead training sessions to ensure the product meets user needs and is used widely enough to have concrete impact.
  • Present results and proposals for future work to audiences ranging from analysts to C‑suite executives.
  • Embed with Software Engineering and Product Design teams to incorporate field insights into cross‑Palantir product offerings.
  • Build and deliver demos to new and existing customers.
  • Scope out potential engagements in new industries and expanding locations worldwide.

  • Extraordinary ability to take on open‑ended problems in unstructured environments.
  • Adaptive and introspective; willing to learn, teach, lead, and follow.
