Core Mission
Install and configure Thales products, integrated with customer network and complying with customer and Thales requirements. Contribute to the solution design since the presales phase, help to define the deployment strategy and share the knowledge and experience with the project team and the integration community. Once the solution is live, help to maintain it up-to-date.
Main Responsibilities
- Install and configure the solution on hardware or virtualization environment
- Integrate the solution at the customer site, connecting with customer backend or core network elements
- Write technical documentation
- Create the customer acceptance plan documents and update if needed
- Follow the Thales process and best practices
- Aid the development and validation team during the project
- Provide visibility to Project Manager on his/her work progress (actual and estimated time to complete tasks)
- Execute the acceptance test plan with the customers
- Provide internal training/workshop to support when necessary
- Contribute to knowledge sharing between Integrators providing tools and tips on the job
- Manage technical risks and share them with project manager on regular basis
Position Requirements
- Degree in computer Science, Telecom, or related discipline
- Experience & Professional Knowledge:
- Mandatory skills for hiring:
- Unix systems - Advanced Linux experience (at least 3 years using Linux)
- Shell or python or perl scripting - Ability to read & understand basic shell scripts, autonomous in one of the 3 languages for linux tasks automation (bash, python, perl)
- Network - Understanding IPv4 protocol, packet routing, experience with versioning and tracking systems (Git, Mercurial, SVN), experience with automation (Ansible/Chef/Puppet), familiarity with working on Cloud systems (AWS) and microservices, familiarity with DevOps tools (Gitlab)
- SQL Language - Ability to write SQL queries, do table joins and filter out the necessary values
- Familiarity with working on Cloud systems (AWS) and with microservices
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Gitlab)
- Semi-optional – at least two should be autonomous:
- Apache and other webservers - Understanding apache virtual hosts concept, configuring basic proxy setup and understanding Directory/Location directives, experience with SSL certificates configuration and knowing the difference between Basic/Mutual authentications, understanding SOAP and other web services, knowing WSS
- Fluent in English
- French & Arabic speaker would be preferred
