Tessera is a remote company. Travel is required for customer engagements, with a wide variance per customer, of up to 50%. A relocation stipend is provided.

Tessera Labs is a product company. Our business model drives outcomes through a platform, not people. Deployed Strategists are technical generalists with sharp product intuition. They own the path from ambiguous customer need to shipped outcome: running discovery, shaping requirements, and driving the solution to production on the Tessera platform.
Responsibilities
- Run deep process discovery with customers — break down complex, ambiguous, cross-system problems and decide what's actually worth solving
- Translate messy customer needs into concrete requirements, then drive them to delivered outcomes on the Tessera platform
- Filter signal from noise: discern what really matters in a room full of competing stakeholders and conflicting asks
- Partner with GTM to frame technical boundaries in sales engagements and produce technical collateral, including Statements of Work
- Iterate with customers and cross-functional partners to drive adoption from pilot to full production
- Build durable customer relationships and proactively surface new automation opportunities throughout each engagement
- Lead training and workshop sessions on-site to upskill customers on the platform
Qualifications
- 2+ years in a high-ownership, customer-facing role — Deployed Strategist, Technical Consultant, Solutions/Sales Engineer, Product Manager, or Solution Architect at a high-growth startup or technology firm
- Technical fluency to reason about software systems, read architecture, and hold your own with engineers and customer technical leads—strong knowledge of data concepts
- A track record of taking ambiguous, high-stakes problems from zero to delivered
- Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- The ability to operate effectively under ambiguity and fast-moving deployments
- An ownership mentality and the willingness to do whatever it takes to get a deployment over the line
- A history of learning hard things fast and operating outside your original lane
- Founder experience (a plus)
