We have an exciting opportunity at our Palmdale, CA facility for an entry-level A&P Mechanic to provide flight line and ground support under close supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and oversight to customers in mechanical and inspection work.
  • Assist in scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, including inspection of powerplant and related components at regular intervals.
  • Assist in the repair of fuel leaks, oil leaks, and engine problems.
  • Assist in the removal and replacement of airframe and/or engine components.
  • Complete all required documentation in accordance with company procedures and government/customer technical order requirements.
  • Perform launch and recovery tasks of aircraft, including ground operations, preflight items, ground observer responsibilities, and post-flight items.
  • Participate in engine and airframe operational checks and installation of payloads.
  • Participate in Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) in accordance with company and customer guidelines.
  • Inspect, test, maintain, and operate ground support equipment.
  • Observe all laws, regulations, and applicable obligations wherever business is conducted.
  • Work safely in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned or required, including CONUS and OCONUS deployments (not a FLEX position).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of aircraft mechanical maintenance experience.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License is desired.
  • Extensive travel and/or CONUS or OCONUS deployment may be required.
  • Sound decision-making skills and ability to anticipate work-related constraints.
  • Self-directed in identifying work assignments and able to seek guidance for technical expertise.
  • Considerable knowledge of the job and broad understanding of its detailed aspects and the product.
  • Knowledge of relevant computer applications and operations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with employees and military/civilian customers.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team, and to work extended hours as required.

Pay

Hourly salary range: $56,180 – $83,518.
