Overall Job Summary

The Department Supervisor supports the Sales and Profit goals in the store by executing a plan to deliver the Best Customer Experience in the department and overall store. The position adheres to legal requirements and H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet customer and colleague expectations. Reporting to the Department Manager or Store Manager (depending on volume), the supervisor oversees a team of Sales Advisors.

Your Day to Day

  • Sales and Profit: Work with store management to ensure operations, H&M standards, and best practices are followed through proper scheduling to maximize conversions and enable commercial activities (Move, Sales, Events, etc.). Ensure H&M Customer Service standards are delivered through active coaching and leading by example. Manage the sales floor efficiently to meet H&M standards and take corrective actions as necessary. Process the truck according to guidelines and ensure its execution.
  • People and Teams: Communicate business performance, company culture, and training focuses through daily Behind the Seams Meetings and participate in leadership meetings. Take overall store responsibility in absence of Store Manager or Department Manager during store openings or closings. Assist in timekeeping and scheduling routines. Train other supervisors and complete projects for their development. Serve as a note-taker for staff interviews and a management witness in employee discussions. Ensure employee issues are promptly reported to management. Supervise staff workflow and provide operational training and feedback to Sales Advisors.

  • Passion for customer service and helping people find their style.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and handle tasks requiring physical effort (lifting, standing, bending, stretching, engaging in repetitive motions, pushing, pulling, carrying items).
  • Open availability including evenings and weekends.
  • One to two years of relevant experience welcome.
  • Basic computer skills such as browser navigation, software interaction, and data entry.

  • Compensation: Hiring Range is $16.74- $19.21 Hourly
