Department of Communication & Media - Relational & Organizational Communication Part-time Lecturer Pool
About the role
Both our lower-division and upper-division undergraduate courses are 3-unit courses. Each is taught twice a week on campus (either at our San Bernardino campus or our Palm Desert Campus) for one and a half hours per class session, during the Fall and Spring semesters (15 weeks each).
Responsibilities
- Prepare all materials for teaching assigned courses.
- In-class teaching.
- Evaluate student coursework and grade assignments.
Requirements
- Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies, or a suitably related discipline.
- Demonstration of teaching experience at higher education level.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies, or a suitably related discipline.
- Required: Degree in hand by time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Communication, or a suitably related discipline.
- Evidence of scholarly activity, publication, and innovation.
Special Conditions
- The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
- A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with CSUSB.

Salary Information
Salary is commensurate with experience. (Actual Salary will be in accordance with percentage of time appointed)
- Lecturer A (Range 2) - $5,507 – $6,677
- Lecturer B (Range 3) - $6,221 – $13,224
- Lecturer C (Range 4) - $6,825 – $14,523
- Lecturer D (Range 5) - $8,593 – $15,211
