Intertek, a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL) and leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Department Manager to join our Professional Services Industries Inc. Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is a leading U.S.-based provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection in civil and commercial construction. Our services include construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute geotechnical project assignments, including field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, report preparation, and technical review.
• Provide quality control review of proposals and reports, ensuring operations consistently meet client commitments.
• Actively participate in business development and marketing efforts while establishing and maintaining client relationships related to technical aspects of assignments.
• Mentor and train junior professional staff.
• Actively participate in relationship building with professional and technical organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited/ABET-accredited school.
• 5+ years of leadership, management, and/or engineering project management experience.
• Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) Registration.
• Customer-focused and quality-driven mindset.
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) and solid interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and understand work plans.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
• ICC, NICET, and/or ACI Certifications.
• P&L and basic accounting experience.
• Sales, marketing, and client management experience.
• Prior personnel management, hiring, and training experience.
