About the role
As a Department Manager, you’ll lead your team to create an inclusive culture that supports collaboration and entrepreneurship. You’ll ensure an excellent operational and visual experience for customers and colleagues, keeping up-to-date with fashion trends and maintaining a clean and tidy store.
Responsibilities
- Customer Sales & Profit
- Ensure the total OMNI customer experience in your store
- Represent the H&M brand positively during customer interactions
- Create and analyze sales and budget goals, and implement plans to optimize results
- Manage your department in a cost-efficient way
- Ensure correct routines in fitting rooms and checkouts, including transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle administrative tasks for both people and operations
- Fashion & Trend Awareness
- Keep up-to-date with the fashion scene, trends, and competitors
- Provide product and fashion knowledge to customers
- Team & Development
- Recruit, onboard, and develop your team
- Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning
- Communicate regularly with store colleagues through daily and weekly meetings
- Follow procedures, routines, and legal requirements in all areas of the store
- Participate in relevant training and courses
- Retail Operations/Visual & Commercial Execution
- Secure a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house areas
- Ensure high fashion quality, visual, and commercial product presentation
- Manage stock levels and provide input on allocation to the area team
- Follow the full garment cycle, from delivery to garment presentation, and fitting room routines according to internal standards and tools
- Secure a strong balance and maintain price signs in accordance with global and local strategies and sales market requirements
- Update and maintain BOH areas for all colleagues, including key information, health and safety, and tidiness
- Ensure the store is open and closed daily

- Strong leadership and responsibility for others

- Compensation: expected base salary range is $26.60- $30.59 hourly
