About the role
Mercy Hospital Southeast is seeking a board certified or board eligible OBGYN physician to join their busy group practice in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Responsibilities
- Highly experienced team with two physicians, three midwives, two advanced practitioners, and an engaged support staff focused on quality patient care.
- Women's Integrated Health program with onsite Breast Health Services, diagnostic testing, and pelvic floor physical therapy.
- 24/7 access to Mercy MFM for consults/transports.
- Nationally Recognized Best Maternity Care Hospital by Newsweek.
- Level III NICU with neonatologist comfortable caring for most babies 28 weeks and above.
- OBGYN Hospitalist support for inpatient and emergencies.
- Dennis B. Elrod OBGYN Center with 18 private birthing suites, 2 OR suites on labor and delivery, 24-hour in-house anesthesia, and 2 Di Vinci Robots.
- System-wide Epic EMR.
Requirements
- Board certification or board eligibility in OBGYN.
- Experience in a group practice setting preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Current medical license in Missouri.
- Passing score on the USMLE or COMLEX.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
