About the role

The Department Analyst IV functions as a primary resource for operating units regarding the collection of data, and analysis and evaluation of operational resources, services, programs, systems, budgets and procedures. This position analyzes and evaluates operational and financial functions of administrative and operational units and prepares reports based on analysis of departmental resources, services, systems, budgets and programs. Working with large databases, the Department Analyst IV leads project teams to complete high level R15 analysis and reports to develop comprehensive recommendations for process improvements. He or she utilizes REDCap and SQL to conduct comprehensive statistical analysis and multivariate regression and evaluate unit services and performance; identifies program or service strengths, weaknesses and financial impact, as well as opportunities for service and program involvement; participates and/or leads project teams to complete high level analysis or special reports; assists with the development of operational plans, procedures and systems; reviews and evaluates current procedures and systems and develops recommendations for improvement or change; maintains awareness of and compliance with various regulatory guidelines (JCAHO, FDA, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.); and conducts briefings and presentations to keep colleagues advised.

Requirements

  • At a minimum, the position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Health Care Administration, Health Informatics, Business Informatics, Business Analytics or related field or foreign equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation and four (4) years of statistical analysis experience focusing on multivariate regression and working with large databases with over one million data points. Experience to include one (1) year of programming in SQL.
  • Offset: Master’s degree in those same fields and two (2) years of the stated experience.

Pay

Commensurate with qualifications and experience ($81,948.32 to $87,697.50 annually)
