Dentist - SCI Somerset
Description of Work
This position provides essential dental services that support the health and well-being of the inmate population. The work ensures consistent, high-quality care and a well-managed dental operation. As a Dentist, you will perform the following duties:
- Perform dental examinations, diagnose oral conditions, and provide needed treatment
- Oversee daily work of dental staff to maintain smooth and efficient operations
- Treatment Support: Assist specialists and carry out related duties when advanced care is required
- Safety Compliance: Maintain security, tool control, and safe handling of toxic and caustic materials
- Professional Consultation: Refer patients to physicians, surgeons, or other health care professionals when needed
Qualifications Required
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Graduation from an approved school of dentistry. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Special Requirement: You must possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
Other Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
