Dentist - SCI Camp Hill
Description of Work
This position provides dental care, leads dental staff, and supports the safe and effective operation of the dental unit. The role focuses on evaluating patient needs, delivering treatments, and guiding dental team members. As a Dentist, you will perform the following duties:
- Dental Evaluation: Perform periodontal exams, review medical histories, diagnose oral diseases, and develop treatment plans
- Clinical Treatment: Provide restorative and preventative procedures while maintaining infection control and safe anesthetic practices
- Patient Guidance: Explain preventative care and post-procedure instructions, and coordinate referrals with specialists
- Staff Leadership: Lead and oversee dental assistants and hygienists, provide training, and support performance evaluations
- Operational Review: Examine schedules, records, and documentation, respond to patient grievances, and prepare required reports
- Inventory Management: Maintain dental supplies and equipment while ensuring proper security and control measures
Qualifications Required
Required Experience and Training Requirements: Graduation from an approved school of dentistry. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Special Requirement: You must possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
Other Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
