About the role

The Michigan Department of Corrections is seeking a Dentist to provide Dental Services to prisoners at assigned Correctional Facilities and other Dental Clinics, as assigned. This is a test-designated position with direct contact with and supervisory responsibility over prisoners for more than 50% of work time.

Responsibilities

• Document and record patient treatment information, as required by Dental Program guidelines.
• Ensure performance compliance of supervised Dental Staff.
• Provide patient care in accordance with established and perceived “standard of care guidelines.”
• Maintain the facility Dental Clinic operational modalities at MDOC Dental Program standards.

Requirements

• Possession of Controlled Substance and U.S.D.E.A Registration is preferred.
• Education: Possession of a Doctorate of Dental Surgery or Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degree.
• Licensure: Michigan licensure as a dentist.

Pay

The pay range on this posting for classified Dentists in the Michigan Department of Corrections includes a 20% critical pay increase.
