About the role
Elica Health Centers is dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services to underserved communities. We operate Community Health Clinics and a mobile medicine program called Health on Wheels, alongside a Resource Center that supports patients and community members.
Responsibilities
- Examines individuals requesting care, diagnosing dental/oral conditions, and prescribing appropriate treatments or directing others to carry out these treatments.
- Carries out or supervises the clinical work of dental assistants and hygienists.
- Communicates with the dental staff about patient treatment plans.
- Provides educational sessions on oral health and disease prevention to patients.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible and licensed to practice medicine in California.
- Valid and unsuspended California medical license.
- DEA X-license required (waiver).
- CPR certification required.
- At least 2 years of experience working with underserved populations or homeless individuals.
- Current, standard dental practices, treatments, and tests.
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends in dental technologies, techniques, and approaches.
- Cultural sensitivity and commitment to serving medically underserved families.
Qualifications
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills in English and Russian, Farsi, Pashto/Pushto, or Spanish preferred.

Pay
$176,800 - $229,840 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, and qualifications.
Schedule
The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, with some flexibility depending on the department.
