Key Responsibilities
- Provides dental care and treatment to referred patients in accordance with facility regulations and standards.
- Performs routine cleaning, restorative dentistry, and extractions as needed.
- Evaluates patients' dental care needs and makes clinically appropriate recommendations.
- Takes impressions for dental appliances and instructs patients in good dental hygiene techniques.
- Maintains accurate and confidential patient records and provides in-service training for health staff members.
Additional Details
- 1.0 FTE
- 10-hour shifts Monday - Thursday
- Rotating days between both Milwaukee sites
- Milwaukee County Jail - Monday/Wednesday
- Milwaukee County Community Reintegration Center - Tuesday / Thursday
- No Holidays/No Weekends
- Correctional Dentistry!
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of dental medicine.
- Experience: One year of experience in general dentistry preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as a dentist within the state of employment. Must obtain and maintain CPR certification.
