About the role

The Dentist will lead the dental team at the Goshen, NY location, overseeing clinical operations and providing comprehensive dental care. They will also coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth site operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the dental team, including oversight of dental support staff and clinical operations
• Monitor weekly ordering and inventory management
• Report equipment repair needs and support site-level dental operations
• Attend site staff and leadership meetings, as well as departmental meetings
• Coordinate with the Health Center Director, Dental Director of Operations, and Chief Dental Officer on operational matters
• Perform root canal therapy on anterior teeth and other teeth within scope
• Conduct full-mouth periodontal exams and develop treatment plans
• Take impressions and create models for dentures and crowns
• Consult with other healthcare professionals to plan appropriate dental treatments
• Extract infected or non-restorable teeth
• Provide preventive counseling, anticipatory guidance, and oral hygiene education
• Conduct comprehensive oral exams and document findings using OpenDental and eCW medical record systems

Requirements

• D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited dental school
• Current New York State Dental License
• CPR/BLS Certification
