Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
• Unrestricted Georgia dental license
• Current DEA registration
• Current CPR/BLS certification for healthcare providers
• Experience in dental practice settings such as primary care, outpatient clinics, or similar environments; interest in community-based dentistry may be considered in place of direct experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Professional phone interaction skills
• Able to maintain accuracy and efficiency in clinical and administrative tasks

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical dental services including examinations, treatment planning, oral cancer screenings, restorations, sealants, bonded procedures, extractions, limited root-canal therapy, minor oral surgery, denture construction, and other indicated treatments
• Document patient status and care including procedures performed, patient response, provider orders, and coordination with other healthcare personnel
• Maintain follow-up processes to ensure continuity of dental care
• Provide instruction on oral health practices and guidance related to treatments performed
• Respond to patient and staff inquiries regarding dental conditions and treatment plans
• Prescribe medications when clinically appropriate
• Participate in designated dental programs as assigned
• Follow universal precautions and adhere to infection-control standards
• Perform additional assigned duties related to dental operations and clinical needs
