Qualifications
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
- Unrestricted Georgia dental license
- Current DEA registration
- Current CPR/BLS certification for healthcare providers
- Experience in dental practice settings such as primary care, outpatient clinics, or similar environments; interest in community-based dentistry may be considered in place of direct experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professional phone interaction skills
- Able to maintain accuracy and efficiency in clinical and administrative tasks
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical dental services including examinations, treatment planning, oral cancer screenings, restorations, sealants, bonded procedures, extractions, limited root-canal therapy, minor oral surgery, denture construction, and other indicated treatments
- Document patient status and care including procedures performed, patient response, provider orders, and coordination with other healthcare personnel
- Maintain follow-up processes to ensure continuity of dental care
- Provide instruction on oral health practices and guidance related to treatments performed
- Respond to patient and staff inquiries regarding dental conditions and treatment plans
- Prescribe medications when clinically appropriate
- Participate in designated dental programs as assigned
- Follow universal precautions and adhere to infection-control standards
- Perform additional assigned duties related to dental operations and clinical needs
