Dentist

Partner with hygienists, assistants, and other team members to provide comprehensive oral health care to patients. Stay up to date on current dental procedures, technologies, and best practices. Maintain accurate patient records and facilitate billing. Educate patients to promote and maintain good oral health outcomes. Uphold the health center mission by ensuring patients receive competent, caring care with high satisfaction. Support the creation of a trauma-informed system of care.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough dental examinations and assessments for patients of all ages.
  • Diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients.
  • Perform dental procedures including fillings, extractions, crowns, and dentures.
  • Utilize imaging technologies to diagnose and treat dental conditions.
  • Provide preventive care advice and education on oral hygiene practices.
  • Administer medication and prescriptions for patients.
• Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain an average of 16 visits per 8-hour day as per HRSA standards.
  • Complete and sign all electronic patient records accurately.
  • Provide detailed and accurate dental records.
• General Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to optimize patient flow and care.
  • Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuing education, conferences, and training.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and best practices (CDC, OSHA).
  • Promote a patient-centered environment and uphold the organization’s commitment to high-quality care.

Requirements

• Education and Experience
  • DDS or DMD from an accredited university.
  • Current Dental license in good standing for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Current Federal DEA License.

  • Ability to provide compassionate care while managing diverse patient needs.
  • Experience with restoration and replacement of teeth damaged from decay, trauma, or disease.
  • Commitment to public health dentistry and community outreach.

  • Light lifting: exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
  • Stand or sit for extended periods.
