About the role
Correctional Healthcare Partners (CHP Health) delivers medical, mental health, and dental care across jails and detention facilities in California and Washington. We partner with counties to ensure incarcerated people receive real healthcare from clinicians who chose this setting and a leadership team that supports the mission.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Health Services Administrator (HSA), on-site Medical Director, and CMD/CMO, the Dentist provides comprehensive dental services while ensuring compliance with NCCHC, ACA, and community standards. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, adaptable, and committed to delivering quality care in a correctional setting.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Dentist license in the State of Washington
- Current DEA registration
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 2–3 years of dental practice experience
- Administrative or leadership experience preferred
- Correctional healthcare experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and computer skills
Responsibilities
- Provide routine and urgent dental care services
- Perform assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with medical and custody staff to support patient care
- Ensure compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards
- Support quality improvement initiatives and dental program operations

- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift up to 25 pounds
- Assist patients as needed
- Work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
