CAN Community Health is seeking a Dentist to provide sensitive, quality healthcare and related services targeted to patients requiring treatment for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Schedule

• Full-Time | Day Shift
• Monday-Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Friday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Pay

$150,101 - $202,637 annually based on experience

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality comprehensive dental care using established procedures and treatment to new and established patients.
• Educate patients on dental wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and resources.
• Work with and communicate with specialists by referring to Endodontists, Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, Orthodontists, Pediatric Dentists, and Periodontists for patient needs.
• Initiate, formalize, and implement dental protocols.
• Determine acuity level for follow-up, referrals, and consultation appointments.
• Exercise final medical judgment in all issues of patient care.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities and monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
• Document patients’ physical assessments, medical histories, and progress reports within 72 hours according to CAN’s chart documentation policy.
• Ensure ongoing care of chronic patients, including review of problem lists and medications, ensuring they are accurate and addressed in a timely manner.
• Consult with the Medical Director of Dentistry, Chief Medical Officer, and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and education issues.

Requirements

• D.D.S. or DMD, Florida Certified or State where clinic is operating
• Active Dental Board License
• Current Malpractice Insurance
• Three years of direct clinical practice
• Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a Level I and Level II Background check
