About the role
The Dental Sterilization Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring effective infection control and dental instrument maintenance at One Community Health (OCH). This position collaborates closely with the Dental Supervisor and other members of the healthcare team to support patient care.
Responsibilities
- Opening and closing the dental clinic
- Setting up and disinfecting operatories
- Handpiece and instrument sterilization and maintenance
- Weekly and monthly maintenance duties
- Setting up dental trays
- Aiding with supply stocking and inventory
- Periodontal probing
Requirements
- At least one (1) year of customer service experience
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple activities and tasks
- Successful relationship management skills involving multidisciplinary teams in a diverse, multicultural environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CPR/BLS Certification in accordance with OCH policy
- Successfully completed credentialing and privileging in accordance with OCH policy
Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
- Medical Interpreter qualified or open to obtaining
- Experience in a health-related setting
- Understanding and working with HRSA requirements and expectations
- State Radiology Certification (or will obtain within 12 months of hire)
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting

Pay
Hourly/Non-Exempt: $20.00 per hour
